Every time I walked into Hope & Stetson as a customer I felt happy, welcome, and at home. I always found the perfect item, even ones that I didn’t know I was looking for…cozy sweaters, beautiful dresses, warm jackets, or unique gifts for other people. I never left empty handed! 

Bri, the manager, always greeted me with a warm smile and I left feeling great about myself and my purchases. At Hope & Stetson, all the women in my family could find something special that made them feel amazing, from my daughters to my mothers, the collection fit my whole family.

One day in October 2019, my daughter Lia, walked into Hope & Stetson and asked if they were hiring. Lia has Down Syndrome and finding employment has proved challenging. Well, not at Hope & Stetson! They warmly welcomed her into the team and even began to sell her handmade scarves! The excitement and sense of worth she felt only deepened my love of the store and its culture.  

That November, I stumbled upon a post that the store was for sale! After the initial stress of wondering if Lia would still have a job there and if the collection and warm feel of the store would stay the same under new ownership, I decided I would have to buy it to make sure this gem that I loved so much remained a part of West Hartford Center.

At Hope & Stetson, we strive to be a place where stress leaves as you walk in the door; where you can find the perfect little something you didn’t even know you needed; where you can create memories with your friends, daughters, and mothers; and where you always feel better walking out than when you walked in.
